What are Healthy Snacks?

As an Accredited Practicing Dietitian, the most common question I am asked is “What are Healthy Snacks?” I find the best way to answer this is to make sure you eat foods from the 5 food groups. Here are some example options to improve you Health Wellness and Nutrition: -

The first group are what I would call tummy fillers as they contain very little calories (energy) or fat, but make you feel full:
